Why a job shows under Needs attention.

Needs attention lists jobs that still owe you money. A job lands there when the payments recorded on it do not cover the job total, or when someone set its status to Not paid.

Steps

1. Open Dashboard. The Needs attention card sits beside or under Active, and it only appears while at least one job is owed money.
2. Read the line under each job. It says whether the job is unpaid, partly paid with the amount still left, or marked not paid.
3. Jobs set to Not paid come first, with the latest scheduled date at the top. The rest follow, biggest balance first.
4. The card shows three jobs. When more are waiting, a link such as + 4 more → opens your Jobs list showing invoiced jobs.
5. Click a job to open it and take the payment.

Good to know

Only jobs with the status In progress, Done, Invoiced or Not paid are checked. A job leaves the list once its payments cover the job total, or once its status is Paid or Cancelled.

A job set to Not paid stays on the list even when no amount has been entered, until you change its Status on the job.

Only the part of a payment that covers the work counts toward the balance. Tips and the credit card surcharge do not.

Refunded payments and bank transfers that are still clearing do not count as paid, so the job stays on the list until the money is in.
