Export your customers and jobs from your old CRM as CSV files, then upload them under Settings → Import data. JobField detects whether the file came from Workiz, Housecall Pro, or Jobber, maps the columns for you, and shows a preview before anything is imported.
Steps
- In your old CRM, export your customers as a CSV file. If you also want your job history, export your jobs as a second CSV file.
- In JobField, open Settings → Import data.
- Under What are you importing?, choose Customers or Jobs. Start with customers.
- Drop the file onto the upload area, or click the area to choose the file.
- Check the preview. It shows which CRM was detected, how many rows are ready, the first few rows, and any warnings. Choose Cancel if something looks wrong.
- Choose Import. The button shows how many customers or jobs it is about to add.
- When you see Import complete, choose Import another file and repeat the same steps for your jobs file.
Good to know
Any other CSV file also works as long as it uses standard column names such as First Name, Last Name, Phone, Email, Address, City, State and Zip. Every row needs a name. A row without one is left out, and the preview count tells you how many rows are ready.
When you import jobs, any customer on a job who is not in JobField yet is created for you. The upload area says up to 50,000 rows and about 10 MB per file.
