Help center · Jobs, schedule and dispatch
A job's status only changes when somebody taps it. If the technician did not tap Start or Done during the visit, the job sits on Scheduled however long ago the work was finished. Open the job and set the status yourself.
Steps
- Open the job from Jobs or Schedule.
- Press Status and pick Done. The choices are Scheduled, In progress, Done, Invoiced, Not paid, Paid and Cancelled.
- Open the Timeline tab if you want to see when each status changed and what it changed from.
Good to know
In the Tech app, a stop still sitting on Scheduled offers On the way, Start and Done. Done is there even when Start was skipped, so a technician who missed the first tap can still close the visit.
A technician can only move a job forward to In progress or Done. Sending a job back, cancelling it, or setting the status from the job page is for owners, admins and dispatchers.
Two things move the status without anyone picking it. Sending the invoice moves the job to Invoiced, and a payment that covers the whole balance moves it to Paid. Nothing else moves on its own, so a job nobody touched stays exactly where it was created.
