Help center · Getting paid
On the job, tap Send invoice and choose Email or Text. The customer gets a secure link where they can see the invoice and pay it.
Steps
- Open the job. The Send invoice button appears under the totals once the job has items and a total.
- Tap Send invoice. You can also open Actions in the job header and choose Send invoice there.
- Choose Email or Text. The customer's address or phone number is filled in from their record, and you can change it.
- Edit the Message if you like. Email also lets you set the Subject and add a copy to someone else.
- Leave Let client pay online ticked. With it on, the email button reads Pay invoice instead of View invoice.
- Tap Send invoice.
Good to know
By email, the invoice PDF is attached automatically and replies go to your business email. By text, the customer gets a link to the same invoice.
On the link the customer sees the amount due and pays by card or Apple Pay. If you have turned on bank transfers under Settings → Payments, they can also choose Bank account. A card payment marks the job Paid right away. A bank transfer shows as Pending on the job until it clears, and the receipt goes out once it does.
If you use the credit card surcharge, the link shows it as its own line. It applies to credit cards only, so debit cards and bank transfers pay the invoice amount.
