Collect payment in the field.

Yes. The technician opens the job and taps Pay, and the Collect payment sheet takes the payment, a tip, the customer's signature and the receipt in one go. Everyone on the team can collect payment except a Viewer.

Steps

1. Open the job from Home or Schedule and tap Pay. On the Finance tab, Collect payment opens the same sheet.
2. Under How are you paying? pick the method. Tap to Pay on iPhone lets the customer tap their card or phone, Card · manual keys the card in, and Cash, Check, Zelle, Card and Venmo record a payment taken outside JobField.
3. Let the customer choose a tip or tap No tip. To take only part of the balance, tap Edit amount first. The rest stays on the invoice.
4. Tap the button at the bottom. For Card · manual it reads Continue and the card form opens next. Every other method is charged or recorded right there.
5. Hand the phone to the customer to sign under Sign to confirm and tap Save, or tap Skip.
6. Under Send a receipt tap Text, or Email if email is set up for your business. Check the number or address and send it. Skip receipt finishes without one.

Good to know

Once the balance is covered, the job reads as Paid for you and the office at once, and what you collected today shows in Collected on Home.

Refunds go through an owner, an admin or a dispatcher, and only on card payments.

If no card options appear, card payments are not turned on yet. The sheet shows Set up JobField Pay to accept cards instead.
