Help center · Technician app
In the JobField app from the App Store, your iPhone asks whether JobField may send you notifications the first time you open it. Allow it. In a browser, press Enable notifications instead. Owners and dispatchers find that button at the top of Messages, and technicians find it on Home under the day's numbers.
Steps
- In the JobField app, choose Allow when your iPhone asks about notifications. If you said no, open your iPhone's Settings app, find JobField under Notifications and allow them there.
- In a browser on a computer, open Messages as an owner or a dispatcher, or Home as a technician, and press Enable notifications. Choose Allow when the browser asks. The button then reads Notifications on · disable, and pressing it again turns them off.
- On an iPhone without the app, a browser tab cannot show notifications. Add JobField to the home screen with Share → Add to Home Screen, open it from that icon and press Enable notifications there.
- Notifications are set per device, so repeat this on every phone and computer you use.
Good to know
Owners and dispatchers are notified when a customer texts in, when a booking request arrives, and when a payment dispute opens or closes. Owners, admins and dispatchers are notified when a bank payment starts, clears or is returned. Technicians are notified when a job is assigned or reassigned to them, once they have signed in at least once. Starting or finishing a job does not send one.
If you see Notifications blocked, JobField was blocked in the browser. Allow it in the browser's site settings and press Enable notifications again.
