Yes. Every call on your JobField number is recorded, and every caller hears "This call is recorded." at the start, in English and in Spanish. Recording someone without telling them is against the law in many states. Open Calls to listen, read the transcript, and turn the call into a job.
Steps
- Open Calls. On a computer, calls are grouped by day, with a Missed calls count at the top.
- Press a call to open it. Press the red play button to hear the recording, and drag the bar to skip ahead.
- The short summary under the recording tells you what the call was about. Open Transcript below it to read the whole conversation.
- If a call has a recording but reads No transcript yet, press Generate transcript. If a transcript came out wrong, open it and press Re-transcribe.
- Once a call has a transcript and is not already on a job, Create job from call appears. Press it to open a new job with the caller's name, phone, address, problem and agreed time filled in.
Good to know
Transcripts and summaries appear on their own shortly after a call ends. Voicemails are recorded the same way and show up in Calls as missed calls.
Calls you place through the app are recorded and transcribed in Calls too, and so are the calls your Receptionist answers.
The recording notice cannot be turned off. If your own greeting already tells callers the call is recorded, it is not repeated.
