Get a business phone number.

You get a business number inside JobField in a few minutes. Open Settings → Phone & texting on a computer, press Set up phone & texting, pick a number in your area code, and calls work the moment you finish.

Steps

1. On a computer, go to Settings → Phone & texting. On the Numbers tab, press Set up phone & texting.
2. Under Your business, enter your Legal business name and EIN exactly as they appear on your IRS EIN letter, and add your Website, Facebook page, or Google Business page. These details register texting for your new number.
3. Fill in Business address and Authorized representative. That is usually you, the owner, with your own Mobile phone number.
4. Under Pick your number, type your Area code, press Search, and choose a number from the list.
5. Tick the box that authorizes the texting registration and confirms your details, then press Activate phone & texting.

Good to know

Calls work right away. The status card reads Phone line is live as soon as you finish. Texting takes longer, because the mobile carriers review your business first. It turns on by itself once they approve it.

Only owners and admins can set up the business phone, and the setup screen works on a desktop computer only. On a phone, the page asks you to finish on a computer.

To add another number later, open the Numbers tab and press Get a number.
