Text back a missed call automatically.

Yes. Turn on the Call didn't become a booking automation under Settings → Automations, and a caller nobody picked up gets a text from your business number within minutes, while they are still holding the phone.

Steps

1. Go to Settings → Automations.
2. Find Call didn't become a booking and press the switch on the right to turn it on.
3. Under When nobody picks up, read the message the caller will get. Press Edit message to put it in your own words, then press Save message.
4. The same automation carries a second message under When the call was answered but nothing was booked. It goes out about ten minutes after a call that was picked up and never turned into a job, which leaves you time to call back first. Edit it the same way.

Good to know

Every automation is off until you turn it on, and each message is yours to edit. These texts go out between 8 AM and 9 PM, and anyone who replies STOP stops receiving them.

Texting has to be active on your business number for any of this to send. If a text never arrives, check the texting status under Settings → Phone & texting.

Each call gets at most one text back, however many times the automation runs. When the customer replies, the conversation lands in Messages, so you can carry on from there.
