Everything the Receptionist says comes from Settings → Your Receptionist. The Voice pane holds its name, voice, greeting and the services it may offer, the Area and hours pane holds where and when it books, the Money pane holds what it says about price, and the Overview shows every answer callers will hear.
Steps
- Open Settings → Your Receptionist and choose the Voice pane. Enter the Name callers hear and pick a Voice.
- Type a Greeting to replace the standard opening line, or leave it empty to keep the standard greeting shown in grey. Callers who speak Spanish are answered in Spanish after this line.
- Under Work the Receptionist may offer, check your Trade and tick the Services it may offer. Only a checked service is offered and booked.
- On the Phone line pane, under While the Receptionist is on a call, leave Book the visit on to let it book, or turn it off so it takes the caller's details for you to book yourself.
- On the same pane, type What the Receptionist says when a caller asks for a person and, if you want, a Number to give a caller who asks for a person. Left empty, the Receptionist takes a name and promises a call or text back.
- On the Overview, under Your own questions and answers, add a question callers ask and what the Receptionist should say back. Save each pane after you change it.
Good to know
Booking opens only once your service area, services and availability are complete. Until then the Receptionist takes a message instead. It never transfers a live call to a person.
Only an owner or admin can change these settings, and every change applies from the next call. If your account does not show these settings, message us from Settings → Help & Support.
